Friday Game

Flabby Physics
Here's a fun little physics game that's also very simple. The only control is the spacebar, which you use to get the ball to the star. You have to learn what each level does and how to time it so you can solve each puzzle. Try your hand (or your spacebar finger) at Flabby Physics.

Beatle Crossing

It's on 24 hours a day, 8 days a week, at the famous crosswalk that The Beatles immortalized on their album cover. Just outside the studios, on the road with the same name, it's the Abbey Road crossing.

It's fun to watch the visitors pause in the crosswalk for a picture while annoyed traffic stops for them. The gallery has some amusing captures as well.

Terra Firma, State Style

The internet, among other things, proves you can sell anything. And in this case, it's dirt. Although it's not just any dirt. It's carefully-selected dirt from specific states, encased in a clear box with the state's silhouette on it. In fact, it's so carefully selected that not all states are yet available. Get the facts, and the dirt, at The State Dirt Company.

Friday Game

A combination physics and puzzle game. Position your shooter and try to cause enough damage to finish a level. Once you complete all 28 levels, you can go back to try and better your score. It's a lot of fun to play Block Knocker. I really liked the reverse gravity parts.

For Whom the Bell Tolls

It started out as co-workers surreptiously attached a small bell to each other, then took pictures. It gradually became a full-fledged co-worker competition. Check out the pictures (and explanations) at The Bell's Wall of Shame.

Mini Music Reviews

This guy not only follows new releases of music pretty heavily, he also reviews them. Now, it's a given that all reviews are subjective, but his are often bitingly sarcastic. And the kicker? In this world of Twitter and Facebook updates, his reviews are only four words. It's Pop Psychology.

Friday Game

Firefighter Cannon game
In this physics problem-solving game, you have to aim your firehose and relative strength of shot to send your water "cannonball" on the right trajectory to hit the little flames. You only have a set number of shots per level, and you get extra points for having shots left over. Like always, it starts off easy, but throws you some curves when you try to master Firefighter Cannon.

I usually don't crosspost, but something about this one struck a chord with me.

Today, there was one extra large Cheerio in my bowl. Very, very large. It registered in my brain just as I put it from the spoon into my mouth, and in that second, I wondered whether it was actually bigger than the others or whether it was just way more absorbent. And by the time I thought to check, I was chewing it along with all of the other ones in that spoonful.

Beautiful, Kent, beautiful.

You might be surprised what you (or others, actually) can make out of gelatin. So much so, in fact, that there's a web site dedicated to some of the stranger and more amazing items. And it's all perfectly edible! Check out the results at My Jello Americans.
