Easter Bunny, or...?

Continuing the Easter theme (yes, that jellybean-and-hollow-chocolate holiday is this coming weekend), here's a look at Easter Bunny attempts that may not provide the intended results. I love the URL of Sketchy Bunnies.

Bonus Easter Link: You still have time to make a Peep wreath.

A Positive Outlook FTW

With all the fail and lose sites on the internet, it's nice that one finally takes an optimistic approach. See the wins at Succeed Blog.

Friday Game

It's a large, one-level, 8-bit, cheesy platformer, but you'll still spend a lot of time trying to solve the maze and rescue the cat in Robot Wants Kitty.

I'm not sure what this place is, but it's still funny. Are they like second string or something?

Too Cool for School

Take pictures from Dwell magazine, a modern-living showcase of mostly home interiors, and give them snappy captions, and you get Unhappy Hipsters.

Storage Space

Gear storage
People make fun of my computer room, but this is what happens when your hobby is climbing and alpine mountaineering, and you turn your spare bedroom into a gear storage room. I'm told this is just the beginning.

Rock Climbing

Man, do I love me some rock climbing. We frequently go to the climbing gym, but when the weather is nice, it's time to head outside (yeah, I know!) and hit the real rock.

Climbing the nose face on Mt. Erie this weekend (click to biggify):

Yep, I had my iPhone along to snap some pics. There's Raggs down below, belaying me.

The view from the top (clicken embiggen):

That's our blue anchor at the edge of the rock. I can see someone's house from here!

Low Bridge

There's a bridge in Paris where the underpass is a mere 2.4 meters (7 feet, 10-and-a-half inches) high. It's clearly marked, but apparently much ignored by drivers. So, of course, there's a site that collects the evidence of trucker incompetence. It's in French, but the pictures speak for themselves at 2m40 – Un blog impactant.

Not so much a game, as a physics simulator of objects and gravity in space. Have fun playing with planets, moons, and comets in My Solar System. (You have to click Reset to alter the values.)

Jumping the Sheets

While the site may be hosted by some sort of hotel reservation and review company, they still have a huge collection of odd yet interesting photos of regular people caught in the act of jumping on a hotel bed. The archive goes all the way back to July 2006, and while you may not look at them all (unless you're =really= bored), you'll still be amused by Bed

Haiku! Bless You!

Mystery Science Theater 3000 (mst3k to its fans) is a brilliant show that adds comments to old (usually bad) movies.

Take a still from a show, add a 5-7-5, and you have MST3K Haiku.

Here's a simple physics game that still somehow manages to keep you playing to see what's next. And it's just fun to drop your squishy water-balloon-like cat down the board to eat more sushi. Not surprisingly, it's called Sushi Cat.

Information Correlation

Anyone who's searched for information on the internet knows how hard it can be to narrow down your choices, much less find what you're looking for. But here's a search helper that not only helps you refine your search, it also makes it fun to just drill down for information.

You enter your word or phrase, and it expands an info tree to show you additional choices. The thickness of the line indicates the weight of a particular choice. When you reach an end node, you get some top links. Give What Do You Suggest a try.

(It'd even make a fun, if geeky, drinking game.)

The Right Way, the Wrong Way, and the Inventive Way

If there's one thing people are good at, it's coming up with ways to use things in all sorts of ways the items' inventors/designers had no idea of. Or sometimes it's just exploiting existing things in creative ways. Either way, you'll be sure to find all sorts of ideas at the Museum of Unintended Use.

Wear a Big Bang

The Olympics are over and now we return to regular broadcasting, meaning no more reruns. And that means The Big Bang Theory. If you've seen it, you know Sheldon (and Leonard too) wear some interesting t-shirts. Now you can find out where they get them (and where you can too) with Sheldon Shirts.
