Friday Game

At first I was like, "Aw man, a cycling game?" But then I started playing and got caught up in trying to do stunts and upgrade my bike and unlock all the achievements. You might, too, if you play Cyclomaniacs.

Tattoo Your Cast

If there's one thing worse than breaking a bone (or four), it's wearing that stupid cast around for six weeks or so. Am I right? And don't even get me started on the itching and having fun trying to keep it dry while you shower. So, aside from decorating it with stupid things your friends write on it, what can you do?

Ok, it's not actually a tattoo, it's a decal that you apply (heat-bond) to your cast. Still, they have a really sweet selection at Casttoo.

Click on "Shop Casttoo" to see the different categories they have. I like the broken bones/x-rays section. Show off your break(s)!

February sky
GAH! Why is the sky blue, and WHAT IS THAT THING?

National Pancake Day

Now, this is a holiday I can get behind. Sure, I make some kick-ass pancakes and waffles, but it's always better when someone does it for you. As I posted earlier, IHOP is handing out free short stacks today.

Come get some!

Police Story

The concept is simple, and very interesting. Ethan, a comic book artist, gets the story from his five-year-old brother, and then draws it. The result is Axe Cop.

Be Fabulous! Be Fabio!

Remember Fabio, whose claim to fame was being the model for so many romance novel covers? Now anyone can do the same thing, thanks to this amazing website. Just upload a picture of your face from your computer or webcam, insert it into one of the covers, and voila, instant pulp fame. Sure, it's a few days late for Valentine's Day, but what the hey, you can still have fun with the Romance Novel Yourself site.

Mad Hatter meets Orange County Choppers

Small Town Photos

Michael Paul Smith is not only an amazing miniature modeler, but he's a great photographer too.

So, first, he's created an entire 1/24-scale town, with incredible detail. The models are simply fantastic. He calls the town Elgin Park.

Then, he takes the models outside and places them in front of trees or what have you. With the real background, and clever camera placement, the detailed models are almost indistinguishable from the real thing.

This link is not a site, but "only" his Flickr photostream. Take some time to go through it and marvel at the manufactured reality of Elgin Park.

Friday Game

Sometimes a stupid game can be so fun, and this one is no exception (for me, anyway). You control a flying saucer trying to abduct people and cows from Earth for your flying Man In A Can processing business. It just cracks me up, especially the graphic grinder on the side. Do you have what it takes to master Abduction?

LOL Literacy

This is a very interesting site. The blogger starts with a picture from TV or a movie (which, unfortunately, isn't identified) and then captions it with a quote from a book by a usually-famous author; the quote is relevant to the picture. Enjoy the unlikely pairings at Slaughterhouse 90210.

Here's an interesting take on the build/physics type of game. You have to build bridges that are strong enough to support your little guys and the crates they retrieve. Test your civil engineering acumen in Cargo Bridge.

Decaword Descriptions

We've all heard of wikipedia, but sometimes it can get a bit wordy. Luckily, the internet is here for us. By setting up a new wiki with the requirement that all entries have a limit for today's attention-deficit world, it's fast and fun to learn at ten word wiki.
