The Apollo 11 Moon Landing

This week marks the 40th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11, a milestone in humankind's spacefaring. In honor of this event, the site We Choose The Moon is recreating the 1969 launch, trip, and moon landing in real time.

The site has some cool features, like the "of the time" trivia in the bottom right. You can even install a little desktop widgit that makes it easier to track the mission tweets.

I predict lots of viewings of Apollo 13 over the next few weeks. Get it now, before Netflix runs out of copies.
