"22.7 Million Dollar Federal Study Reveals That People Do Stupid Things When Drunk."

The National Institutes of Health released today a report summarizing a 4 year federal study of the effects of alcohol on men and women. The study confirmed the widespread belief that drinking alcohol will result in unpredictable behavior in both men and women. When asked about the feasibility of studying such an obvious aspect of human behavior, Dr. Charles Rutherbottom, Scientific Coordinator for the study, defended his work. "Hey, just because everyone knows its true doesn't mean it has been scientifically proven. I'm confident the results of this study will be useful, in fact we have had significant support and interest from the alcohol industry." He added that the government plans to fund another four year study concentrating on determining if the results of the study apply equally to different generations. "We have already received many applications from people interested in participating in the study, especially in the 21 to 30 age group. In fact, we are considering shifting the study to southern Florida, where research has revealed a large population of possible study participants across multiple generations."

Why you should never put a "You don't have to be crazy to work here -- but it helps!" sign on your desk.
